Qualifications & Experience

I completed my training in Intergrative Counselling and Psychotherapy at Regents University and am a Registered Member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) as well as a Registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP); the leading professional bodies for psychotherapy in the UK.

I have experience working within IAPT (NHS Primary Care) where I worked with a range of patients referred to our service by GPs in Hounslow.

I also have many years experience working as a therapist in a womens' centre in Kingston Upon Thames.  It was here that I gained a particular interest in working with anxiety, trauma and abuse.

I also run a successful private practice in Teddington and am a member of The Third Practice, a psychotherapy and counselling service that offers training and supervision to professionals in the field as well as psychotherapy to individuals seeking help.

I currently work as a Lecturer in Psychotherapy at both Regents' University London on the MA in Psychotherapy and Counselling and at Metanoia Institute on the MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy.

Prior to my psychotherapeutic training and qualifications I worked in the criminal justice system with people suffering from serious addiction, mental health problems and damaging patterns of behaviour.

I have always worked in the voluntary and public sectors in a therapeutic capacity and so my experience is built up over many years of both theoretical study and therapeutic experience.

I work within, and abide by, the BACP code of ethics http://www.bacp.co.uk/ethical_framework/ as well as the UKCP code of ethics https://www.psychotherapy.org.uk/media/bkjdm33f/ukcp-code-of-ethics-and-professional-practice-2019.pdf
